CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R2015- 19-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING FIVE REGULAR MEMBERS
AND TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING BOARD,
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing five (5) regular
members and two (2) alternate members to the Planning Board; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 24-61(a) and (b) there is hereby
created a planning board consisting of five (5) regular members, plus an
additional two (2) alternate members, and
WHEREAS, City of Tamarac Ordinance No. 0-2014-16 provides the
method of appointment of members to the Planning Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint
five (5) regular members to the Planning Board to serve a term of four (4) years
to coincide with the term of the nominating member of the City Commission, or
until such time as new appointments are made:

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint,
by a majority vote of the Mayor and Commissioners, two (2) alternate members
to the Planning Board, to serve a term to coincide with the election of the mayor
and expire upon the term expiration of the mayor, or until such time as new
appointments are made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That City of Tamarac Ordinance No. 0-2010-17 provides the
method of appointment of members to the Planning Board.
SECTION 3: That the following are hereby appointed as five (5) regular
members of the Planning Board to serve a term of four (4) years to coincide with
the term of the nominating member of the City Commission, or until such time as
new appointments are made:

SECTION 4: That the following are hereby appointed, by a majority vote
of the Mayor and Commissioners, as two (2) alternate members to the Planning
Board to serve a term to coincide with the election of the Mayor and shall expire
upon the term expiration of the Mayor, or until such time as new appointments
are made:

SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
--- Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or

invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
