CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2014- 117
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING DOMINIC GRAY AS
CHAIRPERSON AND HERBERT DALEY AS VICE -
CHAIRPERSON TO THE VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE TO
SERVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 10, 2015 OR UNTIL NEW
APPOINTMENTS ARE MADE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, members were appointed to the Veterans Affairs Committee
on September 10, 2014 to serve until September 10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Veterans Affairs Committee have
nominated Dominic Gray to serve as Chair to the Veterans Affairs Committee for
a period ending September 10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Veterans Affairs Committee have
nominated Herbert Daley to serve as Vice -Chair to the Veterans Affairs
Committee for a period ending September 10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-225 of the Tamarac Code the
Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee shall be nominated by the members of
the Veterans Affairs Committee but appointed by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint
Dominic Gray
to serve as Chairperson
to the Veterans Affairs Committee
for a
period ending
September 10, 2015
and Herbert Daley to serve as

Chairperson to the Veterans Affairs Committee for a period ending September
10, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct, and are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-225 of the Tamarac Code, the
members of the Veterans Affairs Committee nominated Dominic Gray to serve as
Chairperson to the Veterans Affairs Committee and Herbert Daley as Vice
Chairperson to the Veterans Affairs Committee.
SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 2-225 of the Tamarac Code, the
City Commission of the City of Tamarac hereby appoints Dominic Gray to serve
as Chairperson to the Veterans Affairs Committee and Herbert Daley to serve as
Vice Chairperson to the Veterans Affairs Committee for a period ending
September 10, 2015.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption. 1*
