CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2012- 05-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, URGING ALL MEMBERS OF THE
FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO SUPPORT SENATE BILL
(SB) NO. 740, AND TO SUPPORT HOUSE BILL (HB) NO.
4031; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT A
CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE
BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES, THE LEGISLATIVE
DELEGATION, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, SB 740, among other things, proposes to repeal the nuclear
surcharge; and
WHEREAS, HB 4031, among other things, proposes to repeal the nuclear
surcharge; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac believes the
adoption of SB 740 and HB 4031 would be in the best interests of the residents and
businesses in the City of Tamarac and the State of Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution. All exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a specific
part of this resolution.

SECTION 2: The City Commission of the City of Tamarac urges all members
of the Florida Legislature to support SIB 740 and HB 4031.
SECTION 3: The City Commission of the City of Tamarac further directs the
City Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to the Broward League of
Cities, the Florida League of Cities, the Broward County Legislative Delegation and
any other interested parties.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.
