R2012- /07 a, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, DEEMING PAMELA BUSHNELL ELECTED TO SERVE AS THE COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR DISTRICT 1 AND DEEMING DIANE GLASSER ELECTED TO SERVE AS THE COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR DISTRICT 3; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY: AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, at the end of qualifying on June 8, 2012 the Commission Representative from District 1 had no opponent, therefore, Pamela Bushnell was deemed elected to serve as the Commission Representative for District 1; and WHEREAS, at the end of qualifying on June 8, 2012 the Commission Representative from District 3 had no opponent, therefore, Diane Glasser was deemed elected to serve as the Commission Representative for District 3; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, believes it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to deem Pamela Bushnell Commission Representative Commission Representative for District 3. for District 1 and Diane Glasser NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That Pamela Bushnell having run unopposed for Commission Representative for District 1 is deemed to be elected the Commission Representative for District 1 of the City of Tamarac for a term of four years. Reso. #12260 Page 2of2 October 17, 2012 SECTION 3: That Diane Glasser having run unopposed for Commission Representative for District 3 is deemed to be elected the Commission Representative for District 3 of the City of Tamarac for a term of four years. SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of2012.
