CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R2012---I/
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING TWO REGULAR MEMBERS
TO THE PLANNING BOARD; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board is responsible for advising and making
recommendations to the City Commission regarding land development matters;
and
WHEREAS, on June 22, 2011, the City Commission approved Resolution
R2011-66, appointing five regular members to the Planning Board; and
WHEREAS, on October 25, 2011, Walter Siegel, an applicant appointed to
serve as a regular member to the Planning Board to serve a three-year term
expiring on April 15, 2014, resigned leaving a vacancy of one regular member on
the Board; and
WHEREAS, in the Spring of 2012, Harry Freire, an applicant appointed to
serve as a regular member to the Planning Board to serve a two-year term
expiring on April 15, 2013, resigned leaving a second vacancy on the Board; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with §24-61 of the Tamarac Code, the City
Commission shall appoint qualified individuals to the respective positions; and
WHEREAS, City of Tamarac Ordinance No. 0-2010-17 provides the
method of appointment of members to the Planning Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the interest of the citizens and residents to appoint one regular member to the
Planning Board to finish out the term of Walter Siegel expiring April 15, 2014, or
until such time as reappointments are made:
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the interest of the citizens and residents to appoint one regular member to the
Planning Board

of Harry Feire expiring April 15,
2013 and
continuing the
appointment
through
April 15, 2015, or until such
time as
reappointments are made:
.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.

SECTION 2: That City of Tamarac Ordinance No. 0-2010-17 provides the
method of appointment of members to the Planning Board.
SECTION 3: That the following is hereby appointed as a regular member
of the Planning Board to finish out the term of Walter Siegel expiring April 15,
2014, or until such time as reappointments are made:

Further, that the following is hereby appointed as a regular member of the
Planning Board
to finish out
the term
of Harry Feire expiring April 15,
2013 and
continuing the
appointment
through
April 15, 2015, or until such
time as
reappointments are made:
James M. Griffin
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
