R2012-,:�- l A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A REGULAR MEMBER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO SERVE A TERM CONCURRENT WITH THE APPOINTING COMMISSIONER OR UNTIL SUCH TIME AS NEW APPOINTMENTS ARE MADE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on June 22, 2011, the City Commission approved Resolution R2011-61, appointing five regular members to the Parks and Recreation Board; and WHEREAS, on October 25, 2011, Walter Siegel, an applicant appointed to serve as a regular member to the Parks and Recreation Board resigned leaving a vacancy of one regular member on the Board; and WHEREAS, in accordance with §2-58 of the Tamarac Code, the City Commission shall appoint a qualified individual to the respective position; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint one regular member to the Parks and Recreation Board in accordance with the procedure set out in §2-58 of the Tamarac Code. Reso. #12156 Page 2 of 3 January 26, 2012 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct, and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That Fredric "Rick" Richter is hereby appointed to serve as a regular member of the Parks and Recreation Board to serve a term concurrent with the appointing commissioner or until such time as new appointments are made: Name of Appointee: Fredric "Rick" Richter Commission District Making Appointment: District 2 Term Ending Date: November 4, 2014 SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. E 0 E Temp.
