Tamarac, Florida 33321
Dear Mr. Cernech;
On October 28, 2008, Broward County approved a Joint Participation Agreement for Household Hazardous Waste
Collection events, which was subsequently executed by your city. The current expiration date is August 5, 2012, with
one (2) additional one (1) year renewal period remaining.
In accordance with Article 4.1, this letter constitutes written notice extending the Joint Participation Agreement
through August 5, 2013, for its third additional one-year period, subject to the consent of your city. All other terms
and conditions of the Joint Participation Agreement remain unchanged.
We've attached the graphical usage data from your city's most recent event. As the host city, your residents realized
greater convenience. Municipal based -information helped extend awareness and bolster participation. We feel the
program is a real win -win situation and look forward to continuing this partnership.
Troy Robert, HHW Program Coordinator, will be happy to discuss any concerns you might have. You can reach him at
954-357-8844 or trobert@broward.o g.
Please provide written notice of your city's consent to extend the Joint Participation Agreement, as this is required for
future events. We anticipate your expeditious attention and response. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Peter Foye
