RESOLUTION NO. R-2011 -- /
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPOINTING
JOEL DAVIDSON AND REAPPOINTING ED BROWN
TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE WOODLANDS COMMUNITY NEIGHBORHOOD
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2010-14, as
amended by Ordinance No. 2011-01, adopted on February 9, 2011, the City
Commission may appoint members to the Board of Directors of the Woodlands
Community Neighborhood Improvement District (the "District") by resolution; and
WHERAS, the District duly advertised two (2) vacancies on its Board and
solicited applications to fill the same; and
WHEREAS, the Board interviewed multiple prospective applicants at a
public meeting in order to select the best candidates; and
WHERAS, the District Board, in their official capacity, has recommended
Ed Brown and Joel Davidson be appointed to fill the current vacancies, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission seeks to appoint Joel Davidson and
reappoint Ed Brown to the District's Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that appointing Mr. Davidson and
Mr. Brown is in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City and the
District.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are true and correct and
hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission. All exhibits attached
hereto are hereby incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, hereby
appoints Joel Davidson and reappoints Ed Brown to the Woodlands Community
Neighborhood Improvement District's Board of Directors. In accordance with
Section 163.506(3), F.S., both individuals are appointed for a three (3) year term.
SECTION 3. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith,
shall be and are hereby repealed insofar as there is conflict or inconsistency
SECTION 4. If any clause, section or other part of this Resolution shall be
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such
unconstitutional or invalid part shall be considered eliminated and shall in no way
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Resolution.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption by the City Commission.
