CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2011-_ C�'L
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT A
DONATION OF A USED CLUB CAR GOLF CART
VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $1,500.00 FROM
MICHELLE GOMEZ, VICE MAYOR, FOR USE AT CITY
SPECIAL EVENTS, PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac hosts a number of special events and provides
various programming and activities for its residents and visitors alike; and
WHEREAS, for some special events and other programming and activities, the
City has a need to use a golf cart for transporting individuals and supplies from location
to location; and
WHEREAS, in the past the City has rented a golf cart as needed for City special
events, programs and activities; and
WHEREAS, Michelle Gomez, Vice Mayor, wishes to donate a Club Car golf cart
estimated to be a 1995 model valued at $1,500.00 to the City of Tamarac for use at City
special events, programs and activities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac agrees to accept a donation from Michelle
Gomez of a Club Car golf cart estimated to be a 1995 model valued at $1,500.00 for
use at City special events, programs and activities; and

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Director and Director of Finance
recommend that the City of Tamarac accept a donation from Michelle Gomez of a Club
Car golf cart estimated to be a 1995 model valued at $1,500.00 for use at City special
events, programs and activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept a
donation from Michelle Gomez of a Club Car golf cart estimated to be a 1995 model
valued at $1,500.00 for use at City special events, programs and activities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS' clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City of Tamarac accepts a donation from Michelle Gomez of a
Club Car golf cart estimated to be a 1995 model valued at $1,500.00 for use at City
special events, programs and activities.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
