CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2010-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA TO ADOPT
THE "PUBLIC ART MASTER PLAN" PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is committed to providing public art to enhance the
appearance of the City, commemorate its history and improve cultural opportunities
throughout the City: and
WHEREAS, Tamarac's Public Art Program requires policies and procedures
set forth in a cohesive plan to ensure the entire community will enjoy the full
benefits of quality public art well into the future; and
WHEREAS, Section 5-308 of the Code of Ordinances requires that the Public Art
Committee prepare Public Art Program guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission retained a multi -disciplinary consultant
team led by Barney & Worth, Inc. (Portland, Oregon) in preparing the Public Art
Master Plan and in 2009, a second experienced multi -disciplinary team of Linda
Bloom Art Consulting, Inc. (Coconut Creek, Florida) and Azimuth Studio (Coral
Gables, Florida) was hired to complete the remaining aspects of the plan; and
WHEREAS, the Public Art Committee has reviewed the plan and recommends that
the City Commission adopt the Public Art Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development recommends that the City
Commission adopt the Public Art Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac, Florida to approve the
Public Art Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific park of this Resolution,
all exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION 2: That the Public Art Master Plan for the City of Tamarac is
hereby approved.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or in
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
