RE; 2008 Broward oating Improvement Program (BBIP) Awards
Dear Mr. G
The Broward County Marine Advisory Committee (MAC), at their December 4, 2008 meeting,
formally recommended to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners the funding of
$48,584 of BBIP funds for the City of Tamarac Veterans Park Boat Ramp project. Attached is the
BBIP Project Ranking Scores tally sheet for your files.
This MAC recommended BBIP project will be included in the Broward County Fiscal Year
2009/2010 Budget, which will be approved by the Board ofCounty Commissioners during the annual
budget public hearings in September 2009. The continuation of the BBIP process will require the
execution ofan Agreement between the County and the City, The City will receive the Standard Form
BBIP Agreements for execution by the City in the middle of the summer. The fully executed BBIP
Agreement will be sent to the City in October, with a "Notice to Proceed," Invoices dated before the
Agreement is fully executed will not be eligible for reimbursement, Also, Final construction drawings
must be approved by the MAC before construction begins. This is to ensure that the project submitted
to the MAC is the same project that is constructed. When the drawings are complete, please let me
know so I can schedule the review of the plans by the MAC.
We look forward to working with you and the City of Tamarac on this project. If you have any
questions, or need any additional information, please call me at 954-357-8133,
Sincerely
i e
