CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2008- IS4�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE EXPENDITURE
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2009; APPROPRIATING
FUND BALANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2009; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission on September 24, 2008, adopted Ordinance No.
0-2008-12 approving the annual budget for fiscal year 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined, through an assessment of available
resources and current obligations of the City, that sufficient funds exist; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has identified the need to amend the budget to
properly reflect revised budget estimates; and
WHEREAS, these adjustments require the amending of appropriated expenditures
and fund balance found within the present annual budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Director of Financial Services recommend that
the FY 2009 Budget be amended as indicated below; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to amend the FY 2009
Budget to address those operational areas requiring action.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
SECTION 2: The expenditure budget of the City of Tamarac is hereby amended,
pursuant to Section 166.241, Florida Statute, by departmental appropriation as follows:
General Fund
Increase Expenditures
Public Works Salary and Operating Budget
Public Works Contractual Services
1,177,400

City Commission Grants In Aid — Mental Health Association of Broward Co. 2,500
City Commission Grants In Aid — Tamarac Theater 5,000
City Commission Contingency 15,000
Decrease Expenditures
Parks & Recreation Salary and Operating Budget 1,177,400

Public Art Fund
Increase Expenditures
Public Art Fund 325,000
Public Art Fund Repair and Maintenance 15,000
Public Art Fund Professional Services 10,000

SECTION 3: Pursuant to Section 166.241, Florida Statutes, the Public Art Fund

Undesignated Fund Balance is appropriated to provide for the budget appropriations as
follows:

SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
