A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S GENERAL
EMPLOYEE PENSION FUND TO USE THE CITY'S LOGO ON
ITS LETTERHEAD AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION
PERTAINING TO THE OFFICIAL BUSINESS OF THE CITY
AND ITS EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 165,043, Florida Statutes, authorizes the City
Commission to designate an official City Seal and provides that such Seal may
only be used by the City and its employees for official business unless the City
Commission expressly authorizes otherwise; and
WHEREAS, Section 3.01 of the City Charter further creates a City Seal as
well as any "such identification symbols or logo as the commission may establish";
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has established a City Seal and Logo that
is often used on official City documents and other official materials and resources
utilized by the City; and
WHEREAS, the General Employee Pension Fund has requested the
authority to use the City Logo on its letterhead; and

WHEREAS, as the General Employee Pension Fund provides an essential
service to City employees and acts in an independent, yet official, capacity, the
City Commission of the City of Tamarac finds it to be in the City's best interests to
authorize the use of the City Logo on the General Employee Pension Fund's
letterhead and other official documentation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified as true
and correct and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 165.043, F.S., the City
Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida hereby authorizes the General
Employee Pension Fund to use the City's Seal Logo on its letterhead and other
official documentation pertaining to the official business of the City and its
employees.
SECTION 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or

invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
