RESOLUTION NO. R2008 -02�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF VICE
MAYOR MARC SULTANOF FROM THE BROWARD
METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION ("MPO" );
APPOINTING HARRY DRESSLER TO REPLACE THE VICE MAYOR
AS A MUNICIPAL DISTRICT 1 REPRESENTATIVE ON THE MPO;
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS
RESOLUTION TO THE MEMBERS OF THE MPO AND THE MPO
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Marc Sultanof has represented the City of Tamarac
(hereinafter referred to as the "City") as a member of the Broward Metropolitan
Planning Organization (hereinafter referred to as the "MPO"), representing
Municipal District 1; and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Sultanof has expressed his intention to tender his
resignation from the MPO to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to accept Vice Mayor Sultanofs
resignation and appoint Harry Dressler to replace the Vice Mayor as the City's
representative on the MPO; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the
citizens and residents of the City to accept Vice Mayor Sultanofs resignation from
the MPO and appoint Hang Dressler to replace the Vice Mayor on the MPO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:

Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida hereby
accepts the resignation of Vice Mayor Marc Sultanof from the Broward MPO and
further appoints Harry Dressler to replace the Vice Mayor as the City's
representative on the MPO for Municipal District 1.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide a certified copy of
this Resolution to the members of the Broward MPO and the MPO Executive
Director.
Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions on in conflict herewith be,
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
