CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2008.— 90_
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO EXERCISE THE FIRST ONE (1) YEAR
RENEWAL OPTION OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF TAMARAC AND CAPRI ENGINEERING, LLC
PROVIDING BACK-UP BUILDING INSPECTOR SERVICES
UTILIZING THE CITY OF FT. LAUDERDALE CONTRACT
#362-9442; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac may require back-up inspection and plan review
services;
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with Capri Engineering, LLC,
utilizing the City of Fort Lauderdale Agreement, via Resolution No. R-2006-86, for a two
year period with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, a copy of
said Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 1; and
WHEREAS, the current agreement between Capri Engineering, LLC and the City of
Tamarac providing for inspection services will expire on May 23, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Capri Engineering, LLC has satisfactorily performed its contractual
services for the City of Tamarac and has agreed to extend the term of the Agreement
through May 23, 2009, via the Agreement Amendment #1 between the City of Tamarac
and Capri Engineering, LLC, attached hereto as Exhibit 2; and
WHEREAS, funds are available to accommodate the acquisition of building
inspection services; and

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Building Official and the Purchasing
and Contracts Manager that the city renew the agreement between the City of Tamarac
and Capri Engineering, LLC providing building inspection services; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to contract with Capri
Engineering, LLC for building inspection services, utilizing the existing contract between
Capri Engineering, LLC and the City of Ft. Lauderdale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution
upon adoption hereof.
SECTION 2: The appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to execute
an Agreement Amendment #1 for Inspection Services with Capri Engineering, LLC, utilizing
the City of Ft. Lauderdale Agreement #362-9442.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions
or application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be
severable.

AGREEMENT AMENDMENT #1
BETWEEN THE CITY OF TAMARAC
AND
CAPRI ENGINEERING, LLC
The City of Tamarac, a municipal corporation, with principal offices located at 7525
NW 88th Avenue, Tamarac FL 33321 (City), and Capri Engineering, LLC, a Delaware
corporation with principal offices located at 3800 NW 14th Street
Suite 130, Sunrise, Florida 33326 33323 for ("Contractor") for the purpose of providing
Building Inspector Services to the City of Tamarac to amend the original Agreement dated
May 24, 2006 as follows:
Per the terms of Article 3 — Term of the original Agreement, the City and Contractor
exercise the first renewal option, effective through May 23, 2009.
Amend Section 17 "Notice" to CONTRACTOR to now read as follows:

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereby have made and executed this
Amendment to Agreement on the respective dates under each signature, the City of
Tamarac signing through its Mayor and City Manager, and Capri Engineering, LLC signing
by and through its President / COO, duly authorized to execute same.
