RESOLUTION NO. R-2007- /7&
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN
ADDENDUM TO THE AGREEMENT FOR EXCHANGE
OF REAL PROPERTIES TO EXTEND THE DUE
DILIGENCE PERIOD FOR THE REAL ESTATE
EXCHANGE CONTRACT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED
BETWEEN TAMARAC JEWISH CENTER, INC. AND
THE CITY OF TAMARAC FOR THE EXCHANGE OF
4.5+/- ACRES OF IMPROVED LAND CURRENTLY
OWNED BY TAMARAC JEWISH CENTER, INC. FOR
THE CITY'S CONVEYANCE TO TAMARAC JEWISH
CENTER, INC. OF 2.59+/- ACRES OF VACANT LAND
CURRENTLY OWNED BY THE CITY FOR THE
EXPANSION OF FUTURE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT INTERESTS OF THE CITY;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on August 22, 2007, the City Commission adopted Resolution
No. R2007-132 authorizing the execution of an Agreement with the Tamarac Jewish
Center, Inc. for the exchange of 4.5+/- acres of improved land currently owned by
Tamarac Jewish Center, Inc. for the City's conveyance to Tamarac Jewish Center,
Inc. of 2.59+/- acres of vacant land currently owned by the City for the expansion of
future economic development interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, the real estate contract provided for a due diligence period which
is due to expire on November 5, 2007 and the City of Tamarac desires to extend
this due diligence period until November 16, 2007 in order to complete its due

diligence and Tamarac Jewish Center, Inc. has agreed as more fully set forth in the
Addendum to the Agreement for Exchange of Real Properties as set forth in Exhibit
1 attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City's Economic Development Officer recommends approval
of this extension of the due diligence period; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to
be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to
approve this Addendum to Agreement for Exchange of Real Properties with
Tamarac Jewish Center, Inc. to provide for this extension of the due diligence
period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Commission hereby approves the Addendum to
the Agreement for Exchange of Real Properties between Tamarac Jewish Center,
Inc. and the City of Tamarac in order to extend the due diligence period to
November 16, 2007, a copy of said agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and
incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 3: The appropriate officials of the City of Tamarac, Florida
are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Tamarac, Florida the

Addendum to the Agreement for Exchange of Real Properties between Tamarac
Jewish Center, Inc. and the City of Tamarac, attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.

ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT FOR EXCHANGE OF REAL PROPERTIES
THIS ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT FOR EXCHANGE OF REAL PROPERTIES
("Addendum") is made this October 3 0 , 2007, by and between the CITY OF TAMARAC
(hereafter "CITY") and TAMARAC JEWISH CENTER, INC. (hereafter "TEMPLE"), and
amends that certain AGREEMENT FOR EXCHANGE OF REAL PROPERTIES (the
"Contract") between CITY and TEMPLE regarding the exchange of real properties identified in
the Contract as the Temple Parcel and the Exchange Parcel. CITY and TEMPLE agree as
follows:
The City Inspection Period set forth in Paragraph 3 (A) of the Contract shall be
extended to November 16, 2007.
2. Any conflict between this Addendum and the Contract shall be construed in favor
of the terms and conditions of this Addendum.
3. Except as expressly modified herein, the Contract remains in full force and effect.
This Addendum may be executed in counterparts, each of which shall be considered an
original. A facsimile copy of this Addendum and any signatures hereon shall be considered
as originals.
