RESOLUTION NO. R-2007-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ANNUAL REPORT FOR
THE STATE HOUSING INITIATIVE PARTNERSHIP FOR FY
2003/2004 AND THE INTERIM REPORTS FOR FY 2004/2005 AND FY
2005/2006; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida (hereinafter referred to as the
"City"), receives approximately four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000)
annually in funding from the State Housing Initiative Partnership ("SHIP") program;
and
WHEREAS, the City is required to submit annual reports to the Florida
Housing Finance Corporation regarding the expenditure of SHIP funds pursuant to
Section 420.9075(10), Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City previously submitted the annual reports for Fiscal Years
2003/2004, 2004/2005, and 2005/2006 in September, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to file corrected versions of the annual reports in
order to correct certain errors or omissions that were either included or not included
in the reports.
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the
citizens and residents of the City to approve and submit the corrected Annual

Reports for the SHIP Program for Fiscal Years 2003/2004, 2004/2005, and
2005/2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida hereby
certifies, approves, and authorizes the filing of the corrected versions of the State
Housing Initiative Partnership ("SHIP") Annual Reports for Fiscal Years 2003/2004,
2004/2005, and 2005/2006.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide a certified copy of
this Resolution along with the City's SHIP program annual reports.
Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be, and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part
or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.

Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.

This strategy has function exceptionally well, even during times of disaster when the Building Department has increased demand for permits, such as Hurricanes.

The City offers its residents Homebuyer Counseling and on -going referral to other available. housing programs throughout the County,

Public Hearings were held on two separate occasions for the review of the Annual Reports though the local newspaper.
