CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R2006-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING SEVEN REGULAR
MEMBERS, TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS, AND A
CHAIRPERSON TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO
SERVE ONE-YEAR TERMS EXPIRING JUNE 28, 2007;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing seven regular
members, two alternate members, and a chairperson to the Parks and
Recreation Board to serve one-year terms expiring June 28, 2007; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 15-41 of the Tamarac Code the
Parks and Recreation Board shall consist of seven regular members and two
alternate members who shall be appointed by the City Commission to serve one-
year terms; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 15-43 of the Tamarac Code, the
City Commission shall appoint a Chairperson for the Parks and Recreation
Board; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Director and City Manager
recommend approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint

seven regular members, two alternate members, and a Chairperson to the Parks
and Recreation Board to serve one-year terms expiring June 28, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 15-41 of the Tamarac Code, the
following people are hereby appointed as regular members of the Parks and
Recreation Board to serve one-year terms expiring June 28, 2007, or until such
time as reappointments are made:
Raymond Ally
Philip Jotkosky
Fredric "Rick" Richter
Walter Siegel
Norman H. Blau
Michael Jula
Lois H. Schwartz
SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 15-41 of the Tamarac Code, the
following people are hereby appointed as alternate members of the Parks and
Recreation Board to serve one-year terms expiring June 28, 2007, or until such
time as reappointments are made:
Barry Harris
Les Santiso
SECTION 4: That pursuant to Section 15-43 of the Tamarac Code, the
following person is appointed as Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Board:
Walter Siegel

SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
