R-2006--[JJ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE EXPENDITURE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2006; AMENDING THE BUDGET OF ESTIMATED REVENUES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2006; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission on September 21, 2005, adopted Ordinance No. 0-2005-20 approving the annual budget for fiscal year 2006; and WHEREAS, the City Manager determined, through an assessment of available resources and current obligations of the City, that sufficient funds exist, and the Commission on April 11, 2006, via resolution #R-2006-51 amended the budget to provide for Emergency Preparedness; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has identified the need to amend the budget to properly reflect the actions previously approved by the Commission; and WHEREAS, these adjustments require the amending of estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures found within the present annual budget; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and Director of Financial Services recommend that the FY 2006 Budget be amended as indicated below; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to amend the FY 2006 Budget to address those operational areas requiring action. 1 Temporary Resolution #11049 September 11, 2006 Revised September 15, 2006 Page 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution. SECTION 2: The expenditure budget of the City of Tamarac is hereby amended by departmental appropriation as follows: General Fund Non -Departmental, Xfer to General Capital ($207,200) Non -Departmental, Emergency Preparedness $207,200 General Capital Projects Fund Fire Rescue/Emergency Preparedness ($107,200) Non Departmental/Emergency Preparedness ($100,000) SECTION 3: The revenue budget is amended to provide for the quarterly budget appropriations as follows: General Capital Fund Transfer from General Fund ($207,200) SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. 1 1 1 I Temporary Resolution #11049 September 11, 2006 Revised September 15, 2006 Page 3 SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
