RESOLUTION NO. R-2006- a'),
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ESTABLISH USER
FEES FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC'S CAPORELLA
AQUATIC CENTER AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM,
EFFECTIVE FISCAL YEAR 2006; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, recognizes the need for recreational
programs and facilities and authorizes that the programs and facilities be provided by
the City of Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, generally fees are charged for programs based on both costs and
level of subsidy; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation program fees are recommended by the
Director of Parks and Recreation or designee considering staff time, materials, and
other direct costs for the program; and
WHEREAS, for the City of Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department to provide
quality facilities and services, the City must establish fees accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is opening the new Caporella
Aquatic Center and must establish fees; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has restructured the Summer
Camp Program and must update the program fees; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Financial
Services recommend the adoption of the fee structure for the Caporella Aquatic Center
and Tamarac Summer Camp program outlined herein to be effective Fiscal Year 2006;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac, to authorize the
fee structure for the Caporella Aquatic Center and Tamarac Summer Camp program
outlined herein to be effective Fiscal Year 2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION 2: The fees for the Caporella Aquatic Center and Tamarac Summer
Camp program shall be as follows:
Caporella A uatic Center:
Employees may use the aquatic center at no admission charge.
Daily Fees Resident Non-resident
Adult $2.00 $2.50
Senior/Student/Military $1.50 $2.00
(All must show ID)
Child (12 and under) $1.25 $1.75

SECTION 3: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part of application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or in
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
