R-2006-. 110 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING JENNIFER K. BRAMLEY AS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2, 2007, OR AT SUCH EARLIER DATE AS IS MUTUALLY AGREED UPON; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Charter, Section 5.04(a) provides that the City Manager "shall appoint and supervise the heads of all departments and Assistant City Manager... subject to the approval of the majority of the Commission...."; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that Jennifer K. Bramley be appointed as Director of Community Development, effective January 2, 2007, or at such earlier date as is mutually agreed upon; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the City Manager's appointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That on recommendation of the City Manager, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, Jennifer K. Bramley is appointed as Director of Community Development, Temp. Reso. #11104 Page 2 November 14, 2006 effective January 2, 2007 or at such earlier date as is mutually agreed upon. SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this JJ, day of 2006.
