CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2004- ! t6'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A QUIT
CLAIM DEED FROM BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA,
OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED IN
TAMARAC, FLORIDA ACQUIRED BY'THE COUNTY BY
VIRTUE OF THE PROPERTY BEING DELINQUENT AD
VALOREM TAX PAYMENTS LANDS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the property legally described as:
WOODLANDS SEC TWO-PHASE ONE 66-23 B PARCEL G-9 BLK
18 LESS POR DESC OM PR 8329 ON PAGE 415 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 22-A & LESS POR DESC IN OR 8329/414 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 24-A & LESS POR DESC IN OR 8329/420 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 26-A
located in the City of Tamarac, Florida has escheated to Broward County, Florida
as a result of delinquent ad valorem tax payments; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statute §197.592, requires land acquired by a county
for delinquent ad valorem tax payments to be conveyed to the municipality in
which it is located, free of any liens of record; and
WHEREAS, Broward County has recorded a Quit Claim Deed for the
transfer of the above described property to the City of Tamarac, Florida, a copy
of the recorded Quit Claim Deed is attached hereto as Exhibit 1; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to
accept the Quit Claim Deed from Broward County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby
ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific
part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City Commission hereby accepts the Quit
Claim Deed (attached hereto as Exhibit 1) as recorded in the Official Records
Book 36963 pages 1107-1109 of the Public Records of Broward County of the
property legally described as:

18 LESS POR DESC OM PR 8329 ON PAGE 415 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 22-A & LESS POR DESC IN OR 8329/414 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 24-A & LESS POR DESC IN OR 8329/420 KNOWN AS
PARCEL 26-A
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
