A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE EXPENDITURE
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2004; AMENDING THE
BUDGET OF ESTIMATED REVENUES FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 2004; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission on the 10th day of September 2003, adopted
Ordinance No. 0-2003-24 approving the annual budget for fiscal year 2004; and
WHEREAS, having completed three months of the present fiscal year, the City
Manager has identified the need to amend the budget to properly reflect actions
previously approved by the Commission and to appropriate funds to cover
unanticipated costs that have arisen; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined, through an assessment of
available resources and current obligations of the City, that sufficient funds exist to
carry out these actions; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended adjustments to the present
annual budget based on the aforementioned assessment; and
WHEREAS, these adjustments recommended by the City Manager require the
amending of estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures found within the
present annual budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager's recommendations address issues deemed to be
in the best interest of the City of Tamarac; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager and Director of Finance recommend that the FY
2004 budget be amended as indicated below; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to amend the FY
2004 Budget to address those operational areas requiring action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION 2: The budget of the City of Tamarac is hereby amended by
departmental appropriation, as follows:
General Fund
Non -Departmental $781,000
Fire Rescue Fund
Fire Rescue Department $781,000
Grants Fund
Parks & Recreation $1,500
Police Services $21,747
Fire Rescue $137,739
Trafficways Improvement Fund
Public Works

SECTION 3: The revenue budget is amended to provide for the 1" quarter
budget appropriations as follows:
Fund Balance, General Fund
Fire Rescue Fund, Transfer from G.F.
Grants, Grant Fund

SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
