R-2004-142 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING NINE REGULAR MEMBERS, TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS AND A CHAIRPERSON TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMITTEE TO SERVE ONE-YEAR TERMS EXPIRING JUNE 21, 2005; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing nine members, two alternate members and a Chairperson to the Consumer Affairs Committee to serve one- year terms expiring June 21, 2005; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 2-106 and 2-107 of the Tamarac Code the Consumer Affairs Committee shall consist of nine members and two alternate members who shall be appointed by the City Commission to serve one-year terms; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Committee shall be appointed by the City Commission; and ZITS I 1 WHEREAS, the Assistant City Manager and City Manager recommend approval; Temp. Reso. #10386 Page 2 March 25, 2004 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint nine members, two alternate members and a Chairperson to the Consumer Affairs Committee to serve one-year terms expiring June 21, 2005. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2:. That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following people are hereby appointed as members of the Consumer Affairs Committee to serve one-year terms expiring June 21, 2005, or until such time as reappointments are made: Jonathan Breslau Margaret Clark Paul Dick Faye Koch Seymour Lederkramer Eli L.Schneider Allan M. Smith Lisa A. Strachan Marvin L. Waxler L Temp. Reso. #10386 Page 3 March 25, 2004 SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following people are hereby appointed as alternate members of the Consumer Affairs Committee to serve one-year terms expiring June 21, 2005 or until such time as reappointments are made: Anthony S. Johnson Ellen B. Moltz SECTION 4_ That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following person is hereby appointed as Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Committee to serve a one-year term expiring June 21, 2005 or until such time as reappointments are made: Faye Koch SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION_6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. 1 Temp.
