CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2003-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, SUNSETTING THE
ANNEXATION COMMITTEE EFFECTIVE JUNE 25, 2003;
EXTENDING APPRECIATION TO THE ANNEXATION
COMMITTEE AND COMMENDING THE MEMBERS OF
THE ANNEXATION COMMITTEE FOR THEIR EFFORTS
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Annexation Committee was disbanded and placed on hiatus via
Resolution R99-56, passed and adopted by the City Commission on February 24, 1999;
and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Committee was reinstated via Resolution R99-234,
passed and adopted by the City Commission on September 21, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Committee has not met since October 23, 2000, at
which time the Annexation Committee's recommendations were presented to the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac extends its appreciation to
the members of the Annexation Committee, and commends said members for their efforts
on behalf of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to sunset the

Annexation Committee effective June 25, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City Commission of the City of Tamarac extends its
appreciation to the Annexation Committee and commends the members of the Annexation
Committee for their efforts on behalf of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: That the Annexation Committee is hereby sunsetted effective June 25,
2003.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
