HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-2003-185Temp Reso #10208 —July 29, 2003 Revision No. 1 — August 12, 2003 Revision No. 2 — August 18, 2003 Page 1 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION NO R-2003- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO AMEND THE STATE OF FIORIDA'S STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM BUDGET OF ESTIMATED REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES BY ACCEPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004 ESTIMATED ALLOCATION OF (SHIP) PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $429,520.00 TO BE UTILIZED ACCORDING TO THE CITY'S LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AND HOUSING DELIVERY GOALS CHART; APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS, INCLUDING ANY AND ALL NECESSARY BUDGET TRANSFERS (CASE NO. 12-MI-03); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the State of Florida has notified the City of Tamarac of its Fiscal Year 2003-2004 annual grant allocation of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds (attached hereto as Exhibit "A"); and WHEREAS, the City will utilize FY 2003-2004 funds according to its Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart (attached hereto as Exhibit "B"); and WHEREAS, the Community Development Director recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in Temp Reso #10208 — July 29, 2003 Revision No. 1 —August 12, 2003 Revision No. 2 — August 18, 2003 Page 2 the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the appropriate City Officials to amend the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program budget of estimated revenues and expenditures by accepting the Fiscal Year 2003-2004 estimated allocation of (SHIP) Program funds in the amount of $429,520.00 to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart; appropriating said funds, including any and all necessary budget transfers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials amend the estimated allocation of the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds for FY 2003-2004 in the amount of $429,520.00 to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart. SECTION 3: That the Mayor and City Commission authorize the appropriate City Officials to amend the SHIP Fund Budget in the amount of $429,520.00 and appropriate said funds, including any and all subsequent budgetary transfers to be in accordance with proper accounting standards. SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. 1 1 1 Temp Reso #10208 — July 29, 2003 Revision No. 1 — August 12, 2003 Revision No. 2 — August 18, 2003 Page 3 SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 27th day of August, 2003.
