CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2003-279
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING TWO
REGULAR MEMBERS TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS
COMMITTEE TO COMPLETE UNEXPIRED TERMS
ENDING JUNE 25, 2004; APPOINTING ONE
ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS
COMMITTEE TO COMPLETE AN UNEXPIRED TERM
ENDING JUNE 25, 2004; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND 'PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing two regular members
and one alternate member to the Consumer Affairs Committee to complete unexpired
terms ending June 25, 2004; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 2-106 and 2-107 of the Tamarac Code
(attached hereto as Exhibit A) the Consumer Affairs Committee shall consist of nine
members and two alternate members who shall be appointed by the City Commission to
serve one-year terms; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant to the City Manager and City Manager recommend
approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint two

regular members and one alternate member to the Consumer Affairs Committee to
complete unexpired terms ending June 25, 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following
people are hereby appointed as regular members of the Consumer Affairs Committee to
complete unexpired terms ending June 25, 2004, or until such time as reappointments
are made:
Marvin Lawrence Waxler Margaret Clark
SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following
person is hereby appointed as an alternate member of the Consumer Affairs Committee
to complete an unexpired term ending June 25, 2004 or until such time as
reappointments are made:
Doris Einhorn
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.

Sec.2-106. Creation.
There is created and established a consumer affairs committee which shall be a permanent agency of the
city and which shall consist of nine (9) members and two (2) alternate members appointed by the city
commission.

Sec. 2-107. Membership; compensation; chairman.
The members of the consumer affairs committee shall be appointed by the city commission on an annual
basis and serve at the pleasure of the city commission without compensation. The chairman of the
committee shall be appointed by the city commission.
