CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R2003-96
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING COMMISSIONER EDWARD C.
PORTNER AS THE CITY'S VOTING DELEGATE TO THE BROWARD
LEAGUE OF CITIES; APPOINTING COMMISSIONER MARC L.
SULTANOF AS THE CITY'S ALTERNATE DELEGATE TO THE
BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO NOTIFY THE BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC'S APPOINTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, belongs to the
Broward League of Cities; and
WHEREAS, it is important that each municipality in Broward County appoint one
voting delegate and one alternate delegate to the Broward League of Cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint a
voting delegate and alternate delegate to the Broward League of Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: That Commissioner Edward C. Portner is appointed as the City's
voting delegate to the Broward League of Cities.
SECTION 3: That Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof is appointed as the City's
alternate delegate to the Broward League of Cities.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to notify the
Broward League of Cities of the City of Tamarac's appointments of Voting Delegate and
Alternate Voting Delegate.
SECTION 5: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: That if any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23'd day of April, 2003.
