CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2002-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES ON APRIL 18 THROUGH APRIL
21, 2002 DURING THE SAINT MALACHY
CARNIVAL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Saint Malachy Parish wishes to promote a carnival to benefit the Saint
Malachy Parish and other worthy causes; and
WHEREAS, Saint Malachy Parish has been approved to conduct a carnival on
Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21, 2002, located on the northeast corner of NW
61 Street and University Drive; and
WHEREAS, Saint Malachy Parish is a non-profit organization and requests
permission to be able to sell alcoholic beverages at the said carnival of April 18 through
April 21, 2002, upon showing evidence of State approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the sale
of alcoholic beverages on April 18 through April 21, 2002 during the Saint Malachy
Carnival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City Commission hereby grants authorization for Saint
Malachy Parish to sell alcoholic beverages on April 18 through April 21, 2002 during the
Saint Malachy Carnival located on the northeast corner of NW 61 Street and University
Drive.
SECTION 3: That the selling of alcoholic beverages is subject to regulations
of the State of Florida Department of Regulations, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and
Tobacco.

SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
