CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO R-2002-144
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO AMEND THE SHIP FUND
BUDGET OF ESTIMATED REVENUES AND
EXPENDITURES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$450,522.00 BY ACCEPTING THE FISCAL
YEAR 2002-2003 ALLOCATION OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA'S STATE HOUSING
INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP)
PROGRAM FUNDS TO BE UTILIZED
ACCORDING TO THE CITY'S LOCAL
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AND
HOUSING DELIVERY GOALS CHART;
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO APPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS
INCLUDING ANY AND ALL SUBSEQUENT
BUDGETARY TRANSFERS (CASE NO. 9-Ml-
02); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has notified the City of Tamarac of its Fiscal Year
2002-2003 annual grant allocation of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
funds; and
WHEREAS, the City will utilize FY 2002-2003 funds according to its Local Housing
Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart (attached hereto as Exhibit "1 "); and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in

the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the
appropriate City Officials to amend the SHIP Fund Budget of estimated revenues and
expenditures in the amount of $450,522.00 by accepting the Fiscal Year 2002-2003
allocation of the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
funds to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing
Delivery Goals Chart.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials amend the SHIP Fund
Budget of estimated revenues and expenditures in the amount of $450,522.00 by
accepting an allocation of $450,522.00 of the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives
Partnership (SHIP) Program funds for the Fiscal Year 2002-2003 to be utilized according to
the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart.
SECTION 3: That the Mayor and City Commission authorize the appropriate
City Officials to amend the SHIP Fund Budget in the amount of $450,522.00 and
appropriate said funds, including any and all subsequent budgetary transfers to be in
accordance with proper accounting standards. R , 11
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resol'u`tions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
