CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2002-183
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING SEVEN (7)
MEMBERS TO THE ANNEXATION COMMITTEE TO
SERVE ONE-YEAR TERMS EXPIRING SEPTEMBER 21,
2003; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing seven (7) members to
the Annexation Committee to serve one-year terms expiring September 21, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Sections 2-234.11 and 2-234.12 of the Tamarac Code (attached as
Exhibit "A") provide that the Annexation Committee shall consist of seven (7) members
appointed by the city commission on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director and City Manager recommend
approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint seven (7)
members to the Annexation Committee to serve one-year terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-234.12 of the Tamarac Code, the following
persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as members of the Annexation Committee for terms
beginning September 21, 2002 and expiring September 21, 2003, or until such time as
reappointments are made:
Bruce Hoffman Hubert S. Klombers
Edgar A. Kovner Max Marcus
Mary Jane Redfield Henry M. Rohr
Sidney Weisburd

SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herevVith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective on September 21, 2002.
