RESOLUTION NO. R-2001- ISZ
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING
COMM, e wj) C. rr� AS THE CITY'S DESIGNEE TO
THE STATE ROAD 7/US 441 AESTHETIC AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE; APPOINTING
THE PLANNING AND ZONING MANAGER AS THE CITY'S
STAFF MEMBER ALTERNATE TO THE STATE ROAD
7/US 441 AESTHETIC AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is located in Broward County, Florida, and is
along the State Road 7/US 441 corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City is interested in the development, both aesthetically and
economically, of the State Road 7/US 441 corridor throughout Broward, Palm Beach
and Miami -Dade Counties; and
WHEREAS, the South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC) is facilitating
a State Road 7/US 441 Aesthetic and Economic Development Committee in an effort to
represent the interests of all jurisdictions along the State Road 7/US 441 corridor in
regards to aesthetics and economic development; and
WHEREAS, the SFRPC has asked that each jurisdiction appoint an elected
official as a designee and an alternate to represent the jurisdiction's interests; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the City appoint a designee and
staff member alternate to the State Road 7/US 441 Aesthetic and Economic
Development Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint an
elected official as the City's designee and the Planning and Zoning Manager as the
City's Staff Member alternate to the State Road 7/US 441 Aesthetic and Economic
Development Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
Section 2: —lo n7, �,D ed C. Ae7M is hereby appointed as the City's designee to
the State Road 7/US 441 Aesthetic and Economic Development Committee.
Section 3: The Planning and Zoning Manager is hereby appointed as the
City's Staff Member alternate to the State Road 7/US 441 Aesthetic and Economic
Development Committee.

Section 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or in
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion or applications of this
Resolution.
