CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2001 - 6a'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE FEDERATION OF
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES TO IMPRINT THE CITY LOGO ON T-
SHIRTS TO BE GIVEN AS GIFTS TO MEMBERS AT THE 2001
ANNUAL MEMBERS PICNIC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac must grant permission in order
for the City logo to be displayed or used for purposes or functions that are not City sponsored;
and
WHEREAS, Federation of Public Employees has requested that it be allowed to imprint
the logo of each bargaining unit it represents on a t-shirt to be given as a gift to its members at
the annual picnic to be held in the fall of 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is a bargaining unit represented by the Federation of
Public Employees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac desires to allow the City logo to be imprinted on the t-
shirts to be given as gifts to members of the Federation at the 2001 Federation of Public
Employees annual picnic; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Personnel recommend approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac deems it to be in the best
interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant permission to the
Federation of Public Employees to use the logo for the purposes described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are HEREBY ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are HEREBY made a specific part of this

Resolution.
SECTION 2: The Federation of Public Employees is hereby authorized to imprint the
City of Tamarac logo on t-shirts to be distributed to its members at the 2001 Federation of
Public Employees annual picnic.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are HEREBY
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by
any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 28th day of March, 2001.
