CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT GRANT
FUNDING FROM THE NATIONAL RECREATION &
PARKS ASSOCIATION/NATIONAL FOOTBALL
LEAGUE IN THE AMOUNT OF $500.00; AWARDING
$500.00 IN A GRANT TO THE TAMARAC YOUTH
FOOTBALL LEAGUE; AMENDING THE GENERAL
FUND ESTIMATED REVENUES & EXPENDITURES IN
THE AMOUNT OF $500.00; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac desires to provide its
residents and visitors a higher level of service by enhancing and improving its
outdoor recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, the National Recreation & Parks Association/National Football
League provides grant funds to Parks and Recreation Departments for advancement
or development of youth football programs; and
WHEREAS, a grant from the National Recreation & Parks Association/National
Football League in the amount of $500.00 has been approved; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of these funds requires the amending of
estimated revenues and expenditures within the Grants Fund Budget; and
WHEREAS, $500.00 will be granted from the City of Tamarac to the Tamarac
Youth Football League to be used for participant scholarships, equipment purchases
or program administration such as officiating; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends that the City of
Tamarac accept grant funding from the National Recreation and Parks
Association/National Football League in the amount of $500.00 and award $500.00
in grant funding to the Tamarac Youth Football League; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to
be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept
the National Recreation & Parks Association/National Football League grant funds in
the amount of $500.00 and approve granting $500.00 from the City of Tamarac to
the Tamarac Youth Football League.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City of Tamarac hereby accepts $500.00 in grant funds from
the National Recreation & Parks Association/National Football League.
SECTION 3: The City of Tamarac hereby grants $500.00 to the City of
Tamarac Youth Football League to be used for participant scholarships, equipment
purchases or program administration such as officiating_

SECTION 4: The City Commission authorizes the appropriate City Officials to
amend the Grant Fund in the amount of $500.00 and appropriate said funds
including any and all subsequent budgetary transfers to be in accordance with
proper accounting standards.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part
or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
