RESOLUTION NO. R-99 -// f
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, RECEIVING THE
COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT,
AUDITORS' REPORTS AND UNQUALIFIED OPINION,
PREPARED BY MADSEN, SAPP, MENA, RODRIGUEZ
& CO., FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER
30, 1998; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the Charter of the City of Tamarac provides
for an independent annual audit of all City accounts by a certified public
accountant or firm; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Madsen, Sapp, Mena, Rodriguez & Co. has
conducted an independent annual audit of all City accounts pursuant to the
Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year
1998 contains an unqualified opinion from the City's auditors, Madsen, Sapp,
Mena, Rodriguez & Co.; and
WHEREAS, the unqualified opinion means that the general purpose
financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position
of the City as of September 30, 1998, and the results of its operations and the
changes in financial positions of its proprietary and similar trust fund types for the
year ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to
receive the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ended
September 30, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby
ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific
part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
including the Auditors' Reports and an unqualified opinion by Madsen, Sapp,
Mena, Rodriguez and Co., for the Fiscal Year ended September 30, 1998 is
hereby received by the City Commission.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
