CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 99-�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO APPROVE THE
INSTALLATION OF FOUR SCOREBOARDS DONATED
FROM THE PEPSI CORPORATION BY DAVCO
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS CORPORATION, AT A COST
NOT TO EXCEED $24,286.00, UTILIZING THE SCHOOL
DISTRICT OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA TERM
CONTRACT FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING SERVICES
AND INSTALLATION, BID #SB 98C-114J, APPROVING
FUNDING FROM THE APPROPRIATE PARKS AND
RECREATION ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, City Code Section 6-155 allows the Purchasing/Contracts Manager the
authority to procure supplies, material and equipment, which are the subject of contracts
with the United States Government or with other governmental agencies, without following
purchasing procedures, as set forth in section 6-149; and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the General Fund Budget for installation of the
four donated scoreboards from the PEPSI Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Director and Purchasing/Contracts Manager
recommend installation of the four scoreboards donated from the PEPSI Corporation by
DAVCO Electrical Contractors Corporation, for a price not to exceed $24, 286.00; utilizing

the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida Term Contract for Electrical Contracting
Services and Installation, Bid #SB 98C-114J, attached hereto as Exhibit "I"; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
installation of four scoreboards donated from PEPSI Corporation by DAVCO Electrical
Contractors Corporation, utilizing the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida Term
Contract for Electrical Contracting Services, and Installation Bid #SB 98C-114J,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: The installation of the four scoreboards donated from PEPSI Corporation
by DAVCO Electrical Contractors Corporation, at a price not to exceed $24,286.00, utilizing
the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida Term Contract for Electrical Contracting
Services and Installation Bid #SB 98C-114J, is hereby approved.
Section 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
