RESOLUTION NO R-99-�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO AMEND THE SHIP FUND
BUDGET OF ESTIMATED REVENUES AND
EXPENDITURES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$127,250.00 BY ACCEPTING AN ADDITIONAL
ALLOCATION OF $127,250.00 OF THE STATE
OF FLORIDA'S STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES
PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM FUNDS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999 THEREBY
INCREASING THE FUNDING FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999 TO $433,044.00 TO
BE UTILIZED ACCORDING TO THE CITY'S
LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AND
HOUSING DELIVERY GOALS CHART; CASE
NO. 10-MI-99; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has notified the City of Tamarac of an excess
collection of documentary stamps which provides the funding for the City's State Housing
Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program, to be shared with all SHIP Program participants;
and
WHEREAS, the distribution of the excess collection has resulted in the City of
Tamarac receiving an additional allocation of $127,250.00 to be utilized in its SHIP
Program's Fiscal Year 1998-1999; and

WHEREAS, the City will utilize the additional funds according to its Local Housing
Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the
appropriate City Officials to amend the SHIP Fund Budget of estimated revenues and
expenditures in the amount of $127,250.00 by accepting an additional allocation of
$127,250.00 of the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
funds for the Fiscal Year 1998-1999 thereby increasing the funding for the Fiscal Year
1998-1999 to $433,044.00 to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance
Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials amend the SHIP Fund
Budget of estimated revenues and expenditures in the amount of $127,250.00 by
accepting an additional allocation of $127,250.00 of the State of Florida's State Housing

Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds for the Fiscal Year 1998-1999 thereby
increasing the funding for the Fiscal Year 1998-1999 to $433,044,00 to be utilized
according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart.
SECTION 3: That the Mayor and City Commission authorizes the
appropriate City Officials to amend the SHIP Fund Budget in the amount of $127,250.00
and appropriate said funds, including any and all subsequent budgetary transfer, to be in
accordance with proper accounting standards.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
