CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-99- o O
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE SALARY FOR
THE CITY ATTORNEY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is a charter officer of the City of Tamarac working
directly for the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney's salary has not been reviewed or adjusted since
October 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after a discussion at a workshop on July 14,
1999, has decided that salary adjustments are appropriate at this time; and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the General Budget for said purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac further believes that an
adjustment to the salary of the City Attorney is fair and equitable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Attorney's salary is retroactively increased, effective
October 1, 1998, by Four Percent (4%) per annum.
SECTION 3: The City Attorney's salary, effective October 1, 1999, shall be
increased by Four Percent (4%) per annum.
SECTION 4: All necessary budget transfers are hereby approved.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
