RESOLUTION NO. R-99-C
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING JEFFREY MILLER,
CITY MANAGER, SUBJECT TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF SAID EMPLOYMENT BEING AGREED TO BY THE CITY
COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on August 16, 1999, the current City Manager tendered his resignation
effective at the close of business (5:00 p.m.) September 10, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has deemed it to be in the best interests of the
citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint Jeffrey Miller as City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA-
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: Jeffrey Miller is appointed Tamarac City Manager effective at
the close of business (5:00 p.m.) September 10, 1999.
SECTION 3: This appointment is subject to terms and conditions being
approved by the City Commission at a subsequent date. Until such terms -and cpnditions
of employment as City Manager are approved by the City Commission, Mr. Miller shall
continue to receive his current Community Development Director salary and benefits.

SECTION 4: If Jeffrey Miller and the City of Tamarac are unable to come to
terms regarding his appointment as City Manager, he will return to his former position of
Community Development Director.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
