R99- aA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES FOR BANK ACCOUNTS AT FIRST UNION NATIONAL BANK; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City's current depository is First Union National Bank; and WHEREAS, First Union National Bank requires authorized signatures to accept and process checks issued by the City; and WHEREAS, Section 12.09 of the City Charter entitled, "Signatures to Bonds, Checks, Contracts, etc.," states that "All bonds and checks shall be signed by the Mayor and City Manager."; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize signatures for bank accounts at First Union National Bank. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: First Union is hereby directed to accept the facsimile signature of the following officials: Joe Schreiber, Mayor Temp. Reso. #8751 Page 2 Sept. 2, 1999 and Jeffrey L. Miller, City Manager for the following accounts: Concentration Account, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Compensating Balance Account. SECTION 3: In the event the facsimile signature is not available, the bank is hereby directed to accept any two (2) of the following written signatures: Joe Schreiber, Mayor or Larry Mishkin, Vice Mayor and Jeffrey L. Miller, City Manager or Tim Hemstreet, Assistant City Manager SECTION 4: Copies of this Resolution shall be transmitted to the proper officials of First Union National Bank. SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. 1 A Temp.
