RESOLUTION NO. R-99- .-9/0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING SUBSIDIZATION OF THE
ANNUAL EMPLOYEES HOLIDAY PARTY FOR
A COST NOT TO EXCEED $3,640; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to ensure the high morale of City employees;
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that subsidizing the Annual Employees
Holiday Party for the cost of individual employees will have a positive effect on employee
morale; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Employees Holiday Party will be held on December 18,
1999 at Colony West which has a capacity of 225 people; and
WHEREAS, the price per person is $32.50; and
WHEREAS, the City will subsidize the cost of employees only, corresponding to
approximately 112 employees at a cost of $3,640; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac for the City to

subsidize the Annual Employees Holiday Party.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA-
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Commission authorizes subsidization by the City of
the cost to employees for their individual attendance at the Annual Employees Holiday
Party for a cost not to exceed $3,640.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
