CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-99-337
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING TWO (2) TRUSTEES
TO THE POLICE PENSION BOARD; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, F.S. §185 sets forth certain requirements for municipal police pension
WHERAS, Tamarac Ordinance #99-32, provides for separating the Tamarac Pension
Plan into three (3) Boards; General Employees, Firefighters and Police; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with F.S. §185 and Tamarac Ordinance #99-32, the City
Commission shall appoint two (2) Trustees to the Police Pension Board; and
WHEREAS, the Trustees shall be legal residents of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk and Personnel Director recommend approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint two (2) members
to the Police Pension Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to F.S. §185 and Tamarac Ordinance #99-32, the

following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as Trustees of the Police Pension Board for
terms beginning December 22, 1999 and expiring December 21, 2001, or until such time as
reappointments are made:
Raymond H. Parkhurst Harvey Kram
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of December, 1999.
