CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-99-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF
TWO (2) ARCINFO AND ARCVIEW UPGRADES
AND SIX (6) NEW ARCVIEW 3.1 LICENSES
FROM INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
ADVISORY SERVICES, INC. (IDAS), UTILIZING
THE STATE OF FLORIDA SNAPS AGREEMENT
NO. 252733 AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED
$14,715.00; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FdR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approved Phase
II (the above -ground planimetric and utility feature mapping portion of the GIS Project) of
the Agreement with ADR, Inc. for the completion of the City of Tamarac GIS Compatible
Planimetric Base Map on January 13, 1999 (Resolution No. R-99-17); and
WHEREAS, the completion of the City of Tamarac GIS Compatible Planimetric
Base Map requires software licenses for multiple Departments; and
WHEREAS, International Development Advisory Services, Inc. (IDAS) is an
authorized GIS software distributor utilizing the State of Florida SNAPS Agreement No.
252733; and

WHEREAS, City Code Section 6-155 allows the Purchasing/Contracts Manager the
authority to procure supplies, material and equipment which are the subject of contracts
with the United States Government or with other governmental agencies, without following
purchasing procedures, as set forth in Section 6-155; and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the GIS fund for said purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development and the Purchasing/Contracts
Manager recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the
appropriate City Officials to approve the purchase of two (2) ArcINFO and ArcVIEW
upgrades and six (6) new ArcVIEW 3.1 licenses from International Development Advisory
Services, Inc. (IDAS), utilizing the State of Florida SNAPS Agreement No. 252733 at a cost
not to exceed $14,715.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.

SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are authorized to approve the
purchase of two (2) ArcINFO and ArcVIEW upgrades and six (6) new ArcVIEW 3.1
licenses from International Development Advisory Services, Inc. (IDAS), utilizing the State
of Florida SNAPS Agreement No. 252733 (attached hereto as Exhibit "1") at a cost not to
exceed $14,715.00.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
