R-99-,5-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RECOGNIZING LENNAR HOMES, INC. FOR RECEIVING A NATIONAL AWARD OF ARCHITECTURAL EXCELLENCE FOR THE KINGS POINT THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS, AND DECLARING THE CITY'S GRATITUDE TO MR. IRVING BOLOTIN, FORMER SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF LENNAR, FOR HIS ROLE IN HELPING TO CREATE A MORE BEAUTIFUL TAMARAC, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is a beautiful City, where residents and visitors alike enjoy an excellent quality of life; and WHEREAS, Lennar Homes, Inc. has contributed greatly to the City's beauty and quality of life through development of the Kings Point residential community; and WHEREAS, the American Institute of Architects recently recognized the newly completed Kings Point Theater Of the Performing Arts for excellence in architectural design; and WHEREAS, Irving Bolotin joined Lennar Corporation in 1954, was named a director of the corporation in 1974 and served as Senior Vice President of Lennar; and WHEREAS, Irving Bolotin, Senior Vice President for Lennar, was the principal Lennar executive responsible for construction of the entire Kings Point community, including the Theater Of The Performing Arts; 2 Temp. Reso #8531 Rev. # 1 2/15/99 WHEREAS. The City of Tamarac wishes to express its gratitude to Lennar Homes, Inc. and to Mr. Irving Bolotin; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That the City of Tamarac recognizes Lennar Homes, Inc. for helping to make Tamarac a more beautiful City and expresses its gratitude to Mr. Irving Bolotin. SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
