CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-99-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
HONORING FRANK VELTRI, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
PLANTATION, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is proud to be a sister City of the City of Plantation
in Broward County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, The City of Plantation is bidding a fond farewell to its distinguished
Mayor of 24-years; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Frank Veltri is the longest serving Mayor in Plantation's 46-year
history; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Frank Veltri was first elected to the Plantation City Council in
1968, and elected Mayor in 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plantation has prospered and grown to a population of
77,000 under Mayor Veltri's leadership; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Frank Veltri's career has been distinguished by honesty, integrity
and a dogged commitment to excellent public service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac wishes to recognize Mayor Veltri for his record of
achievement and to express its respect for his exemplary record of public service; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to recognize the
achievements of Frank Veltri.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City of Tamarac recognizes and honors Frank Veltri, Mayor
of Plantation, Florida.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
