RESOLUTION NO R-99- '*75-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE 1998-2001 LOCAL HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PLAN (LHAP) ADOPTING
AFFORDABLE HOUSING INCENTIVE
STRATEGIES, PROCESS REQUIRED BY THE
STATE HOUSING INIATIVES PARTNERSHIP
(SHIP) GRANT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida adopted Resolution
R-98-99, on April 8, 1998 adopting the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) required for
the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Grant; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the SHIP Grant requirements, the City Commission of the
City of Tamarac, Florida, appointed twelve (12) members of the Affordable Housing
Advisory Committee to submit its recommendations for Local Housing Incentive Strategies
to the City Commission within twelve months; and
WHEREAS, the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Act requires the amendment
of the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP), to include the Local Housing Incentive
Strategies that the City Commission will adopt; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director recommends approval of the
amended Local Housing Assistance Plan, which includes the Local Housing Incentive

Strategies that the City Commission will adopt; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens of this community to amend the Local Housing Assistance
Plan established pursuant to the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific park of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Commission adopts the Local Housing Incentive
Strategies, attached as "Exhibit A", pursuant to the State Housing Initiatives Partnership
(SHIP) Grant requirements.
SECTION 3: The City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, hereby
amends the Local Housing Assistance Program to include the Local Housing Incentive
Strategies.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of the this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
