R99- � <�- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, RESCHEDULING THE 7:00 P.M., WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 1999, REGULAR CITY COMMISSION MEETING TO 7:00 P.M., TUESDAY, MAY 11, 1999; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, at the January 25, 1999 Workshop meeting the City Commission advised that there would be a lack of quorum at the May 12, 1999 meeting due to a previously scheduled conference in Clearwater, Florida; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4.06(a) of the Tamarac Charter, "The commission shall meet regularly at least twice a month, ..." and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4.06(c) of the Tamarac Charter, "a majority of the council [sic] will constitute a quorum. An affirmative vote of three (3) members shall be necessary to enact any ordinance or adopt any resolution."; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to reschedule the 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 1999 Regular City Commission meeting to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 1999. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS' clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That the 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 1999 Regular City Commission meeting is rescheduled to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 1999. Temp. Reso. #8580 Page 2 March 24, 1999 Rev. #1 April 1, 1999 SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of , 1999.
