RESOLUTION NO. R-98- oZOS
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO PURCHASE A GROUNDS MASTER 223-
D RIDING LAWN MOWER, FROM HECTOR TURF
COMPANY, UTILIZING THE GENERAL SERVICES
ADMINISTRATION (GSA) CONTRACT #GS-07F-8722D, AT A
COST NOT TO EXCEED $13,586.47, APPROVING FUNDING
FROM THE APPROPRIATE PARKS AND RECREATION
ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, Hector Turf Company is the authorized Grounds Master Distributor for
Southeast Florida; and
WHEREAS, City Code Section 6-155 allows the Purchasing/Contracts Manager the
authority to procure without following purchasing procedures for all supplies, material and
equipment, which are the subject of contracts with the United States Government or with
other governmental agencies; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a replacement lawn mower was approved in the FY98
budget and funds are budgeted in Account No. 001-7030-572-64.01, entitled "Machinery
& Equipment/Equipment $500.00 or Greater"; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the

purchase of a Grounds Master Riding Lawn Mower from Hector Turf Company utilizing the
GSA Contract # GS-07F-8722D attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
adoption hereof.
SECTION 2: The purchase of a Grounds Master 223-D Riding Lawn Mower at a
cost not to exceed $13,586.47, by the Purchasing and Contracts Manager as authorized
under Section 6-155 of the City of Tamarac code, to be purchased from Hector Turf
Company, utilizing the GSA Contract # GS-07F-8722D; and
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
