R-98- p2% A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE BROWARD COUNTY PLAN TO WIDEN MCNAB ROAD FROM UNIVERSITY DRIVE TO WEST OF PINE ISLAND ROAD AND RELATED TRAFFIC CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, for several years Broward County has planned on widening McNab Road from University Drive to West of Pine Island Road; and WHEREAS, the County has advised that traffic improvements are necessary, which will effect access to The Green's Condominium; and WHEREAS, as part of the widening of McNab Road project the County will be reconfiguring access from McNab Road to The Green's Condominium; and WHEREAS, the City has been advised by the County that the Condominium Association of The Green's Condominium is in favor of the proposed access reconfiguration and related traffic changes to McNab Road; and WHEREAS, Broward County Commissioner Norman Abramowitz and County Staff have presented the proposed changes that will impact on The Green's Condominium at the July 6, 1998 Workshop; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interest of citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to express support for the McNab Road widening project and related access changes to The Green's Condominium as designed by the County, as presented by the County and as approved by The Green's Condominium Association. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Page 2 Temp. Reso. #8340 7/7/98 11 Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS," clauses are hereby accepted and made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: The Commission of the City of Tamarac expresses it's support for the McNab Road widening project and related access adjustments for The Green's Condominium as presented by County Commissioner Norman Abramowitz and County Staff and as previously approved by The Green's Condominium Association. Section 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. Section 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
