CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-98_o2.2 -77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE SEVEN YEAR
COMPREHENSIVE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM,
FINAL REPORT; APPROVING THE REHABILITATION OF
CITY STREETS AND IMPROVEMENTS AS DETERMINED IN
THE SEVEN YEAR COMPREHENSIVE STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, FINAL REPORT; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac authorized the re-
evaluation of City streets by Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) by adopting
Resolution Number R-97-177; and
WHEREAS, IMS ranked the City streets in order of their rehabilitation priority; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works staff integrated the IMS ranking with the proposed
water, wastewater, and stormwater projects; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works staff developed a comprehensive seven year street
improvement program to include street rehabilitation, median curbing, landscaping and
irrigation; and
WHEREAS, the details of the program are described in the report entitled "Seven
Year Comprehensive Street Improvement Program, Final Report;" attached hereto as
Exhibit 1; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works director recommends that the "Seven Year
Comprehensive Street Improvement Program, Final Report" be accepted and the
rehabilitation of City streets and improvements as determined in this report be approved;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept the Seven
Year Street Improvement Program, Final Report and approve the rehabilitation of City
streets and improvements as determined in this report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are HEREBY ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution
upon adoption hereof.
SECTION 2: That the Seven Year Comprehensive Street Improvement
Program, Final Report is HEREBY accepted.
SECTION 3: That the rehabilitation of city streets and improvements as
determined in the Seven Year Comprehensive Street Improvement Program, Final Report
is HEREBY approved.
SECTION 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
HEREBY repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions
or applications of this Resolution that can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
